Local Natural History
In brief the aim of the Strathdearn Natural History Club is to increase the enjoyment and understanding of the flora, fauna and geology of Strathdearn.
Officers of the club: Hon Chairman Carol James, Hon Secretary David Bonniface, Hon Treasurer Denise Barley.
Meetings will be held monthly, generally on the 4th Thursday evening of the month at 17:30. Field events will be held from time to time generally Tuesday, Thursday or Friday PMs.
The next evening meeting will be on Thursday 24 April at 7:30PM in the Community Hall.
- Tom Prescott will talk on butterflies. Hopefully this will prime us to help record what we see in garden,heath and forest.

Thursday 22 May 7:30PM "Upland Management" by Adam Smith of the Game Conservancy Trust. Hopefully this will complement last years excellent talk bt Davey Thomson.
Tuesday June 24 2:PM Field Trip to Insh Marshes withPete Moore RSPB
August 27 (NB WEDNESDAY) 8:30 PM BAT WATCHING with Katy Martin. A follow up to last years great evening - but hopefully a little warmer and more bats!
September 25 Thursday 7:30PM Red Squirrels withJuliet Robinson Forestry Commission. We are privileged to live with red squirrels - lets learn better to protect them!
