    New Session
I can’t believe that we are already at the end of our second week back after the summer holidays! It feels great to be back and there is a real buzz around the school as the children get back into their routines and are enjoying being that one stage up. Our new primary one pupils have settled in amazingly quickly and are happy and confident as they go about their tasks both in and out of the classroom.

    Open Evening
The teachers would like to invite you to an open evening which will be held on Monday 7 September from 5pm until 6.30pm. This is a chance for you to come along with your child to visit the school and have a tour around. They can show you their classroom to enable you to visualise them working very hard during the day!! If you are able to come along, we would welcome your views on several items ranging from fund raising ideas to any creative ideas for our foyer area. There will be boards in the foyer where you can express your views.

We look forward to seeing you then.
    Rebecca Robinson

    Summer Fair
Our first ever School Fair held on 30 June was a huge success and we would like to thank all the community who turned out on a beautiful sunny day to support it. £366.74 was raised of which half will go to purchasing a new smart board for the P4-5 class and half will go to The Liver Foundation which Meggie is involved in.

    Mrs MacRae
For those of you who have not heard the news, congratulations to Mr and Mrs MacRae who had a daughter, Katie Margaret, on 23 July.

    Singing Kettle
Mrs Davidson and her pupils in P1-3 are looking forward to their first trip this session. On Friday 2 October they are going to see ‘Boogie Woogie Zoo’ at Eden Court. A letter with all the details will be sent out shortly to parents.

    Class Photographs
We still have money outstanding for class photographs from last term. Please could we ask that this is paid to the school office as soon as possible.

    P4-5 Class Contribution
‘Coming Back from the Summer Holidays’
    By Rani and Jade

We thought it was very exciting to see all of our friends and the teacher. The last two weeks we have been learning how to do lots of stuff including place value. We have enjoyed being back at school. We are hoping we are getting a new smart board soon. We are trying to achieve our targets in everything.

    P6-7 Class Contribution
By Charlie, Ethan and Grant P7

We are all pleased to be back after the long summer holidays! We think this year will be great fun; we are looking forward to going to Millburn next year and the residential school trip for P6-7. We are also looking forward to the elections for the Pupil Council, Eco-school Committee and our new Committee the Health Promoting Team. Most of us want to be voted for these Committees but of course we can’t all get in the Committees! In class we are all enjoying reading Macbeth by William Shakespeare (Read to us by Mrs Robinson).
